«Caucasian Jews in Israel are a bridge between two great cultures. We preserve the traditions of our ancestors and build the future, uniting peoples.»
Pavel Yelizarov is a public and political figure in Israel, a leader of the Caucasian Jewish community, and a builder of bridges between Israeli and Azerbaijani societies.
His path in public service began with leading the KESHEV youth organization, where he gained experience in community organizing and working with young people. This early experience laid the foundation for his subsequent career as a community leader.
In 2015, Pavel Yelizarov was elected chairman of the Union of Caucasian Jews of Israel — an organization that unites tens of thousands of immigrants from Azerbaijan, Dagestan, and other regions of the Caucasus. Under his leadership, the Union became an active platform for the preservation of cultural identity, the promotion of community interests, and the strengthening of ties with the historical homeland.
In recognition of his organizational abilities and deep understanding of regional dynamics, Yelizarov was appointed advisor to the Minister of Defense of Israel. In this capacity, he contributes to the development of Israeli-Azerbaijani relations at the strategic level, drawing on his unique knowledge of both cultures.
Pavel Yelizarov’s activity embodies the idea that the Caucasian Jewish diaspora in Israel is not only a community preserving the traditions of its ancestors, but also an active force building the future and uniting peoples.
