Diplomatic Efforts Towards Peace

The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that a peace treaty with Azerbaijan will be signed. At a press briefing on Thursday, he noted that there is currently quiet and calm diplomatic work being carried out on this issue.

The Importance of Common Positions

According to Pashinyan, it is crucial to establish a convergence of positions between the two countries, even in the context of initialing the peace agreement, as this confirms the establishment of peace. The Prime Minister emphasized that the focus now is on <strong strengthening peace and preventing a return to previous realities.

Internal Challenges

He also pointed out that there are forces in Armenia that are not interested in peace. “We, the citizens of Armenia, must care for peace and make it irreversible,” Pashinyan stated.

Historical Meeting

It is worth recalling that on August 8, 2025, as a result of a trilateral meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington, Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration on peaceful resolution. The discussion also included the establishment of transportation communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.

TRIPP Project

This project was named “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) and became an important step towards improving relations between Baku and Yerevan.
