Natalia Klimova, the Snow Queen, Has Passed Away
Natalia Klimova was born in 1938 in Moscow. She completed her studies at the Moscow Art Theatre School and began her career at the Sovremennik Theatre. The actress gained fame for her role as Zoya Monroz in the 1965 film “The Hyperboloid of Engineer Garin,” as well as for her portrayal of the Snow Queen in the 1966 film adaptation of the fairy tale.
Throughout her career, Klimova appeared in a dozen films. However, in the early 1990s, she had to leave the stage due to a serious illness — blood tuberculosis, which required four surgeries.
