In the last 24 hours, the terrorist group “Hezbollah” has launched approximately 220 rockets towards Israel, with nearly half of them failing to reach their target. According to reports, at the onset of the attack, the terrorists conducted a mass firing, launching around 100 rockets with varying ranges, and during the night, they added about 120 rockets.
The majority of the rockets did not cross the Israeli border. A source in the security forces explained this by the actions of IDF, both in the air and on the ground, which led to the displacement of Hezbollah’s launch groups to northern Lebanon. He also noted that the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against several launch groups, which helped to reduce the number of launches.
Strengthening Israel’s Defense
This week, the command of the Northern Military District under the leadership of Major General Rafi Milo completed the deployment of over ten battalions, which have taken up the frontline defense position in southern Lebanon. This has been done to create a “security belt” against threats from Hezbollah.
Additionally, a decision was made to further reinforce the defense line with forces from the 146th Division. Currently, the border with Lebanon is divided into three sectors of responsibility, controlled by three divisions: 210th, 91st, and 146th.
