The Information Minister of Pakistan, Attaullah Tartar, announced a temporary halt to military operations against Afghanistan for a duration of five days. This decision has been made in light of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims.
According to Tartar, this decision was taken at the request of brotherly Islamic nations such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar. However, the minister emphasized that any actions, such as border attacks, terrorist activities, or drone strikes, could lead to the resumption of active hostilities.
According to information from the Afghan government, representatives of the Taliban have also declared an end to military operations since midnight.
It is worth noting that on March 17, the Afghan authorities accused Pakistan of an attack on a rehabilitation hospital for drug addicts in Kabul. Preliminary reports, shared by government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat, indicated that around 400 people were killed in this incident, and an additional 250 people were injured.
