Arrival of 12 F-22 Fighter Jets from the US Air Force at a Base in Southern Israel

At one of the air bases located in southern Israel, 12 F-22 fighter jets belonging to the US Air Force have landed. This information was provided by the local radio station Kan. According to reports, the jets were sent to Israel as part of the expansion of the US military presence in the Middle East.

As previously reported by The Washington Post, based on satellite images and flight data analysis, the United States has increased its military presence near Iran by deploying over 150 aircraft at bases in Europe and the Middle East following talks between Washington and Tehran that took place on February 17 in Geneva. The current deployment of US troops in the region is the most significant since the operation in Iraq in 2003, the newspaper emphasized.

Additionally, the Greek newspaper Proto Thema reported that the American aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, carrying dozens of additional aircraft, has arrived at the US base in Souda Bay, located on the Greek island of Crete, and will remain there until February 27.
