In an interview with PBS, US President Donald Trump stated that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement reached with Iran. He noted that this is related to “Hezbollah”: “They are not included in the deal. But we will resolve this issue; everything will be fine,” Trump emphasized.

Responding to a question about ongoing Israeli strikes on the Lebanese group, the president remarked:

“This is part of the deal – everyone understood that. This is a separate skirmish. And let’s wrap it up quickly.”

Journalist Liz Landers mentioned that she tried to find out if Trump regretted his statements on Truth Social regarding the “collapse of civilization,” to which he received a sharp denial from Democrats. However, the president disconnected during the conversation.

The semi-official Iranian agency Fars reported the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which Tehran views as a serious violation of the temporary truce conditions. Earlier, a source within the Iranian military and security structures stated that Iran is completing preparations for “deterrent operations” against Israeli military targets.

Additionally, another Iranian agency Tasnim, associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported that Tehran may withdraw from the agreements if Israeli strikes on Lebanon do not cease.
