The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made an official statement confirming Israel’s participation in the ceasefire agreement with Iran.

“Israel approves President Trump’s decision to pause strikes on Iran for a period of two weeks — provided that Iran immediately opens the straits and ceases all attacks on the U.S., Israel, and neighboring countries in the region,” the statement reads.

Additionally, Israel expressed support for U.S. efforts aimed at ensuring that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile, and terrorist threat to America, Israel, Iran’s Arab neighbors, and the world.

Furthermore, the U.S. has informed Israel of its commitment to achieving these goals, which are shared by Israel and its regional partners, during the upcoming negotiations. It is noted in Netanyahu’s office statement that the two-week ceasefire will not apply to Lebanon.
