U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of scaling back military efforts against Iran. This information was shared on his account on the social platform Truth Social.
Trump noted:
“We are very close to achieving our goals as we consider the possibility of winding down our massive military efforts in the Middle East against the terrorist regime of Iran.”
He outlined several key objectives, including: the complete reduction of Iran’s missile capabilities, the destruction of launch facilities, as well as the elimination of all related sectors, including the defense industry, naval and air forces, and anti-aircraft weaponry.
Additionally, Trump emphasized that the U.S. will not allow Iran to approach the development of nuclear weapons. He also added that the protection of Middle Eastern allies, such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait, must remain at the highest level.
The President also indicated that the control and security of the Strait of Hormuz should be carried out by other countries that utilize this strategically important waterway, as “the United States does not do that.”
